I have got it so that PlayerPRO 5.10 compiles without errors with Xcode. … …On PowerPC. The thing is, one of the key structures that the program uses needs to be Big Endian, and will throw a compiler error unless you work around it. As I myself am unaware of how to do this, this remains on my to-do list. Just because it compiles doesn't mean that it can run. There's a registration dialog that needs to be removed. Also, the plug-in architecture for the input-output is stubbed because the whole plug-in architecture (not just the input-output) needs to be re-written. Then there's the rendering issues… Also, there are some programming ideas that work fine with CFMs and OS 9, but just aren't practical on OS X. For instance, it thinks that the plug-in code is in the Plug-in's resource fork. I don't know of any universal programs that uses this practice. I don't know that much about loading external code, but I have decided to use CFPluginCOM. I did discover a library that has some core bits of PlayerPRO that developers could put into their apps to get them to play music. This was quite popular in games. Just in case you are wondering, I am not a part of PlayerPRO's development team. I am just hacking (keyword hacking) this together on my free time. Thursday, when I was working at Collectibles at the front of Deseret Industries, something caught my eye and I started drooling: a flat-panel monitor for $150. I did a little test to see if it worked, and the screen popped up a "No Signal" screen, so I thought it couldn't hurt to try. I was also impressed by the amount of inputs it had on the back: 2 VGA, 1 DVI. Since it was near my lunchtime, I decided to clock out, buy the monitor, then go eat. Since I didn't want to put it in my car, I had it set in the office with my name and a SOLD sign on it. When I got back from lunch, a coworker of mine said that someone else was going to come back and buy it but I got it before him. Whew! I am so glad I didn't wait! There was a thin plastic thing over the screen that I didn't look too hard at. When I got home, I read it and discovered that I got a 22" LCD Monitor. For some odd reason, my Mac used 1400x900 as the starting resolution, other than the native resolution of 1680x1050. That was easily fixed. So far, it has been a good little display. It's a little dirty, and it sits just a bit too low for my liking, but those should be easy to fix. Yesterday I got in a car crash. Don't worry, I'm okay, but the car's totaled; I'm going to have to get a new one. What happened: This was the first snow of the winter and I was driving to work. It was more or less blizzarding and the roads were slick. I was going on the freeway when I noticed the car in front of me was stopped. I tried to push the brakes, only to realize that the brakes weren't working. I tried pumping the brake, but all was in vain as I hit the back of the car. At this point in time I noticed that the radio, which had been playing music from my iPod Touch, was outputting static. I could also see that the hood was folded up on itself. Then I was hit from behind. After everything settled down, I called 911 on my cell phone. The guy I rammed into checked to see if I was okay, and I told him I was. I then called the Insurance, then my work. At this point, the guy returned and told me it would be a good idea if I wasn't in the road so much, so he told me to try and put the car in reverse. I started the car, but noticed that it didn't sound quite right. When I got the car in Park, it just died. I put the car in neutral and he pushed my car so that it was a bit on the shoulder. When I was calling my parents, the person who hit into me came up and we exchanged phone numbers and names. It was at this point that she noticed that the car I hit had driven off. After she left, I went looking for my iPod Touch. I found the connector under the passenger side seat, but I could not find the iPod. After awhile, my mom called and said they were on the freeway. Apparently I wasn't the only one to get in a wreck: many people had also wrecked. My parents came and invited me to their car. We waited awhile before the cops came, all that time the ice cream was melting (Yes, my parents bought ice cream in December). After everything was done with the cops, the tow truck came and got my car first because it was still sticking out into the road. All told, I got in the wreck at 1:00 PM and I was able to leave about two hours later. Tomorrow, me and my dad are going to clean out the car and search for my iPod. Hopefully it's still in the car and not on the road broken and water-damaged. Tags: car, crash Current Mood: apathetic Current Music: Black Silk - Luigi Smythe

This was awhile ago, but I decided to post it for posterity. This was originally posted in RHJunior's forums, so it might sound a little broken up: I am currently having issues breathing and am currently in the hospital trying to find out what's wrong. Prayers would be appreciated.
one doctor thought it was bowel obstruction, but the doctor here thinks it's something else. And I'm typing on my iPod Touch. And I hate needles.
Just had a C.T. done. Man, the iodine going through you is a strange feeling, especially when it goes past your pants. And the battery is slowly being drained If I end up staying overnight, my parents will get the laptop so I can charge tho iPod.
…doctor says early pneumonia
Okay, I'm home, and now that I have a proper keyboard, I'll describe a little better what was happening with me. Yesterday (Monday), I noticed that my chest hurt when I woke up. I thought little about it so I just tried to shrug it off. However, when I tried to go to sleep, I found myself short of breath and couldn't get in a good position. I noticed this when I tried to lay down on a couch in the front room because I couldn't sleep. I tried to sleep by sitting on the couch, and other than Smudge the cat snuggling up to me, I couldn't sleep. I had said nothing about my chest pains to anyone except my dad to ask for something for the pain. Morning the next day, every one knew that I wasn't feeling good because I was sitting on the couch. My mom decides to take me to the doctor's office, only to have the doctor send me to the emergency room. There, they put an I.V. into me, both for a painkiller and for water, and did a C.T. scan. After doing different blood tests (I was stuck by a needle 4 times today >:( ) The doctor at the Hospital determined that I had early Pneumonia and pumped me with antibiotics. I'm going over there tomorrow to get more antibiotics by I.V. and my mom has a prescription for painkillers.
Please note that this was September 26, 2008, and I am in good health right now. Current Mood: nostalgic
